These are turbulent times, but there can always be Integr8’d Soul, an alternative pop band for the World.

When you put on K-Os A-Jenz, you get rhythmic, revolutionary music from the edge of Today, (Neotech) and then, with our ballad and finally the soul rave-up, a grounded reservoir of romance and good will.

We present open voices of melodious insight, on discovering the Joy of Being, taking the Dare of Life. You may hear friendly Southern accents

In our hour-plus live show, we dance to rich, poly-rhythmic beats- such as our crowd clap/countdown to pop off the title track, or the single, “Miss America”-fashioned by DJ Pain 1, freeing soul melodies and Backpack Raps with spirited sax, organ, and funky guitar by Jeff Shields-primed to raise audience excitement. Blending our energetic alternative pop music show, we mix genres further, with songs like “The Key” that present the familiarity of musing guitar across bright rhythms.

DJ Pain 1 is a five-time Platinum Producer. He’s worked with Jeezy, Lil Baby, Ludacris, Nas, Public Enemy, Yo Gotti, Polo G, Joey Bada$$.

Anji-Bug grew up singing soprano in a family Gospel Quartet, often singing songs written by her father, Ron Bowman, a reverend at independent Baptist and Holiness churches in Georgia. As she grew into her own voice, she opened the insights that make I.S. ‘Angel Pop.’

Cecil was best friends with Troy ‘T.J.” Jones, and followed his first-chair buddy into Saxophone for Beginner Band. T.J. took his unspeakable heartbreak in his home situation, and channeled it into hours of practicing along with Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie. Recognize by Model Elementary band director Bill Shook, at eleven TJ joined the Northwest Georgia Wind Ensemble. The week before he turned 14, he sneaked out to his grandmother’s farm in Oklahoma, aboard a Greyhound Bus.

He toured Europe by invitation, before settling on a career as a vetrinarian, married to his high school sweetheart, Fonda.

What Cecil grew to learn, was that the music is a refuge for building reservoirs of sanity and insight. Further, he came to realize, writing songs was his own response to elevate him beyond Pain, a healthy, creative Self.
Cecil and Anji-Bug got a lift from Cecil Sr. and Brenda, to take a 2200 mile Greyhoud trip from everyone they knew.

With a coin flip, they decided which direction they would go, from Escondido, California, which Anji chose “to find out what’s hidden in Escondido.” A Mariarchi guitarist gave them a lift to a hotel, across the street from one they could pay weekly, tomorrow. They later formed Integr8d Soul in San Diego- a rename from Lead From Within, under which they wrote songs for an album called Integr8d Soul. Rapper Eternal saw that as the name to go with, and our friend had good creative instincts.

Winston O.B.’s in Ocean Beach, The Yard, Java Joe’s on Market and even Friday nights playing covers at Valentine’s Family Restaurant were favorites. Their best invitation yet was the first Youtopia in 2013, still an annual institution. They later joined the Rockmart Writer’s Circle show at Cedartown Auditorium, and opened Imagine Shop’s Bridge the Sea Benefit in Rome, GA, with Muletide Perkins and the Kamikaze Dali. They even played from a cattle trailer at Cave Spring Art Festival. Watch that BBQ smoker, though. They participated in Battle of the Bands in 2014, with their song “Over” played on 95.1 FM The Ridge. Once they played an Elton John live lunch set on air with Bryan Mullins, on Elton’s birthday, March 25th, 2014. It was the studio where James Brown led Sunday services on-air in the late 1980s.

The joyous music central to Integr8’d Soul, with its poetic hints of expanded reality, became a vessel to the World. Now the vessel dream begins. There is an unshakeable belief in how things work out, and even when it’s spun out-of-control, it’s always time for Integr8’d Soul.

Influences:

They cite David Bowie as “our Merlin,”, not only for creating across an array of genres; for example merging Blues Rock and Dance Music for his commerical zenith, Let’s Dance. Prince, R.E.M. BTS, the Indigo Girls and Elton John stand high for songwriting and perfomances of seminal inspiration.

She loves survival games; he loves classic comic books, but basically, the art of storytelling. She keeps her angels around, and they keep finding the muse for A-Pop: Angelic Pop, an alternative pop with new lyrical dimensions and vigor.
