“Signed, The Lelle Gang”: the new short story!

The short story so fun, you’ll feel your emotional break through!

I implicitly understood the conflict in this modern era, as one where we must recognize our shadow selves, personally, to really shine, for fuller compassion.

I know it’s exciting when kids do want to read- and I wrote “Lelle Gang” to encourage that, as it’s rich in critical thinking plus a haven for imagination.

But I think this is a story that will help adults, too.

There are impulses that rise in the face of injustice, and a desire to find purpose, even while some among us are suffering.

There’s a Hero’s Journey here, but it’s hardly a formulaic approach to heroism. I hope you will find it empathic and empowering.

Purpose: to use depictions of freedom and confinement to help our youth understand the world into which we’ve come, to foster empathy and compassion, and provide hope to those who care, but feel disempowered.

I kept to the plot and its many details, with characterization as the key to opening the narrative’s Magical Realism. The emotional reality to the characters keeps center stage.

The literacy crisis in our country has borne devastating fruit. I have a story here that can draw in young readers, and, I hope, get them to concentrate enough to think critically.

But like any great story, it resonates with you at any age. I know some of this celebration of Imagining will be a welcome flashback to childhood for many of you!

I also know, I want to move the hearts of people towards a more just society, and the vision for that starts at any age. I want all possible children to live happily, able to explore their imaginations and their young minds.

With many readers, this could become something meaningful, and I’ve lived my life to this point, always striving to present art rich with meaning, even humor.

For now, here is where you can read it for free. I’m adding the text to the book cover. https://www.wattpad.com/story/406701005-signed-the-lelle-gang

Much love and light, Cecil
