I have two stories to read to you: “Dori’s Story” and “‘Twas the Hero Before Christmas.” They’re part of the cycle that began with the two rendtions of “Trash Talks,” available on SmashWords. It’s 4-6 pm, an update on the original time.

May 28th we’re reserving a room at the George Reynolds Branch Library, 3595 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder, CO 80305 We’re there from 6 pm to 7!

Premiering “Signed, the Lelle Gang,” the last story of the cycle that will be the basis for a screenplay.

Cecil’s still gradually piecing together what will be the short story, “Signed, The Lelle Gang,” and the screenplay then that ties that and the last four short stories, going back to “Trash Talk,” together. Surprisingly, the recent hip hop/ electro pop experimentation led to the first story-song in that style. It turns out to be a song for a character who appears, performing, in “Signed, the Lelle Gang,” so music and story are mixing in very vivid ways for Integr8d Soul!

These demos point the way to changes in our 2025 approach. If you’ve talked to me in person, I probably hinted at what I can finally tease here, starting with the two most recent songs I wrote. I’m using these videos to have fun mostly, experimenting with Music Video on “Sweet Desire” and even changing clothes, a fun video trope, for “Living Celebration.” This one below on 05/09/25, is our newest demo, one we hope to professionally produce to be an anthem this summer, Right now it’s just a humble, heart-moving tune from my phone, to my friends.

Here’s what I’m up to as of April 9th:

I’m trying to draft “Signed, The Lelle Gang” here on St. Patrick’s Day (and, Cinco de Mayo). It shares a world and characters with the other short stories I’ve released since October.
I re-worked the clumsiest part of the plot, to the benefit of the characters. On this one, I will be writing a kid’s book/ animated version, and a prose version.

We’re about to go in on some Stuckwayze material. That post needs its own page. We always have Stux-inspired jokes around the Apartment of Ideas, but Anji has been drawing portratis of them for her gallery computer game, and I’ve been looking at the pages of the comic book again. Rest assured, it’s going to be a refuge of silliness.

OCTOBER 2024 UPDATE: A lot of you are here to check out Cecil Disharoon’s new writing. The published author and Georgia native has written features and interviews for magazines; his books on Amazon can be found, below. The new Integr8dsoul Storytellers Live series began successfully on Wednesday, October 9th, and by unanimous demand, we’ll be back with a different live piece than the first one, which tickled and gripped the audience in ways only a story can do. We welcomed listeners for three weeks in Martin Park,, and have more stories to tell for engagements better suited for the winter weather.

Our trip to see DreamCatcher Sunday, the 10th, included two Lyft trips. One was an entertaining amalagam of our driver and us trying to speak Spanish and English mixed together (he’s from Cuba). The trip home yielded the first lines and melody of a song, “Driving,” inspired by the life of an Uber/ Lyft driver like ours, Andre, with additional lyrics about taking a long drive to a romantic rendevouz.

The other two need a lot more work. It was exciting to come home from a show with our own musical ideas!
